Molotov offre une expérience inédite associant dans une même interface les programmes linéaires et non-linéaires de près de 200 éditeurs et chaînes de télévision. Fondée par JeanDavid Blanc (fondateur d’AlloCiné) et Pierre Lescure (co-fondateur de Canal+), Molotov fait partie de fuboTV, la première plateforme mondiale de streaming de télévision en direct axée sur le sport, depuis décembre 2021.
Sélectionnée dans l’indice gouvernemental French Tech 120, parmi le 10 Top Start-ups LinkedIn 2020, et distinguée à quatre reprises ‘‘Meilleure application de l’année’’ par les utilisateurs de l’App Store (Apple), de Google Play (Android) et par AppAnnie, Molotov compte, après 5 années d’existence, plus de 19 millions d’utilisateurs, devenant ainsi le leader français de la distribution de programmes en streaming.

Descriptif du poste

Molotov’s backend is a distributed platform of micro-services written in Golang. The list of features is long, covering all the scopes of video in 2023 (Live, VOD, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, NPVR, …) as well as many related topics (social, payment, CMS, data ingestion, …). As the leading TV platform in France, the platform must remain efficient and reliable even during intense load peaks for TV events (soccer games, breaking news…). Molotov has recently been acquired by a US company, FuboTV, which offers the same kind of services in USA, Canada and Spain, with an emphasis on live sport events. Leveraging our combined experiences, we’re now building the first international TV streaming platform, with the best features and tech from Molotov and FuboTV.

  • Participate in the building of a first-class international TV streaming platform

  • Development of new screens for our server-driven UI

  • Help building and designing our global subscription system

  • Monitoring, testing to improve product quality

Profil recherché

Profile : 🏆

  • Passionate about developing modern service platforms, with at least 5 years of experience in backend development and infrastructure, ideally in a web-oriented micro-services environment

  • Knowledge of complex technical problems, strength of proposal to solve them quickly and efficiently

  • Good basis in Go and/or have notions in several other languages (Molotov’s technical environment is rich and varied but most of the developments are done in Go)

  • Great technical curiosity and open-mindedness about new languages, concepts…

  • Autonomous and able to discuss with product / marketing teams to help define the need and appropriate solutions

  • Team player with strong communication skills

  • Takes security matters seriously

Mandatory Skills:

  • Experienced with a cloud provider, GCP or AWS

  • Very good knowledge of Kubernetes

  • Experience with Infra as code

  • Fluent in English

Associated Skills: Go, Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PubSub, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana…

  • Good knowledge of web services and scaling issues of a high traffic distributed platform

  • Curiosity for the architecture of a modern electronic payment system: management of multiple payment platforms, architecture of offers (subscription, pay-per-use, promotions…)

  • Good understanding of the importance of unit tests and application monitoring, logging… to provide the most stable and reliable service possible

  • Notions of front-end development are a plus to understand the problems of front-end teams
